First Lady's Run

Yesterday the ASSERT team took part in the First Lady's Run (10Km) and walk (5 km). Kirsty Gusmao Sword is the first lady of Timor Leste and also a patron of ASSERT.

Faiz (Prosthetist-Orthotist from Pakistan), Cornelis (ASSERT Director) and Frederico (in the foreground of the picture)took part in the run. The walkers were Dulce (Deputy Director), Thyda (Prosthetist-Orthotist from Cambodia), Aminu (Physiotherapist from Indonesia) and Caetano (ASSERT Finance manager).

It was a very enjoyable event, with national attention. It has been very good to have a national event like this after all the trouble of last 6 months and ASSERT enjoyed participating. Frederico's Tricycle has been produced in Timor Leste by St. Francis Workshop in Aileu.
