Honour for Dr Peter Carey

We are delighted to announce that Dr Peter Carey, ASSERT founder and project facilitator, has been honoured with an official appointment charter from the Portuguese Presidency in Lisbon.

Peter was made a Grand Official in the Order of Prince Henry the Navigator (Ordem do Infante Dom Henrique) for the work he has done in Timor-Leste - both before and after independence.

"This is an honour won as much by the Cambodia Trust and ASSERT as by myself," said Peter, in typically modest fashion!
